Qiviut

Qiviut is a high arctic exotic fibre that comes from the Musk ox. It is reported to be eight times warmer than sheep's wool and is finer than cashmere. Unlike sheep's wool, qiviut does not have scales and thus is wonderful to wear against the skin. The average fineness of qiviut is 12 microns - sharing the title for the finest natural fibre in the world with vicuña from South America. The average staple length of qiviut is approximately 3.5 inches.(1)
